How the HD resolution works
The HD file is generated at 300 DPI — the standard for professional printing. The total pixel dimensions are calculated directly from your chosen canvas size, which means the file is always exactly sized for print at that dimension without any upscaling.

What's the difference between the free preview and the HD download?
The free preview is a 500 × 500 px version of your mosaic — enough to see the full composition and check every tile is right. The HD download is generated at 300 DPI based on your chosen canvas size, giving you a file suitable for professional printing. The biggest size (900mm) produces a 10,630 × 10,630 px file.
Is the free preview watermarked?
No. The free preview is a clean, un-watermarked image. We want you to genuinely see what your mosaic looks like before deciding to pay.
What resolution is the HD digital download?
Every HD file is generated at 300 DPI — the standard for professional print quality. The total pixel size depends on the canvas size you choose. The 20cm Keepsake produces a 2,362 × 2,362 px file; the 90cm Grand produces a 10,630 × 10,630 px file. Every tile across all sizes is rendered at around 340–360 px, so the quality is consistently sharp.
Can I use the digital download to print at a local print shop?
Yes. The 300 DPI JPEG and PNG files are accepted by any professional print shop. Just bring the file on a USB or send it by email, and ask for a print at the canvas size you purchased.
What canvas and frame does the canvas print use?
We print on artist-grade canvas using eco-friendly latex ink — odorless, non-toxic, and photo-quality. The canvas is stretched over a 30mm deep frame made from Premium Russian Red Pine Wood (resin-free, pitch pocket-free). The image wraps fully around all four sides (full colour wrap), and a hanging string is included so it’s ready to hang straight out of the box.
Does the canvas arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Every canvas print arrives stretched over the wooden frame with hanging hardware included. You don’t need to buy a frame or visit a framer — take it out of the box and it’s ready for the wall.
What grid size will my mosaic use?
Each size has a default grid — for example, the 40cm Standard uses a 13×13 grid by default. You can adjust the tile detail in the app to use a finer or coarser grid. A finer grid means more tiles and a more detailed mosaic; a coarser grid means larger, bolder tiles.
